Yellow Door is an amazing charity that is quite literally changing lives for the better across the Hampshire area with a team of around 100 staff and volunteers working together to prevent and respond to domestic and sexual abuse. We provide a diverse and innovative range of services to local people of all ages and genders. Last year we engaged with over 4500 clients to provide crucial support information and in some cases a lifeline. Right now our services have never been more in demand. Play Therapist - Frankie Worker Service
Frankie Workers are dedicated counsellors for children and young people who are the victims of sexual abuse sexual exploitation or female genital mutilation. They aim to prevent trauma from turning into poor mental health. The service called Frankie Workers is
inspired by Frankie an adult survivor of child sexual abuse who is now in her 20s. Please see the video link for Frankies Story:
will be an experienced and qualified Play Therapist having worked in voluntary or statutory roles and skilled in working with children and trauma with knowledge of evidence-based work for sexual abuse. Working alongside the local authorities you will
provide therapeutic support for children and young people aged 0-10 years across Hampshire. The sessions will be delivered in the community; meeting the needs of the children and young people. You will be working between Yellow Door Southampton and
community settings across Hampshire this role will involve travel you will be an essential car user.
Salaryfull time equivalent
Hours: 22.5 to 30 hours per week.
Contract: Permanent (subject to successful probationary period) or self-employed optionsavailable.
Working hours negotiable but Tuesdays are required for supervision and team meetings some early evening hours may be required.
