Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform various plating processes to deposit precious metals on substrates.
Operate plating processes including cleaning and electrodeposit plating.
Follow verbal and written Engineering and Quality Control instructions as contained in process procedures blueprints operating in a specified and quality manner.
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
Manually performs or operates equipment requiring setups constant monitoring and periodic adjustments in temperature and/or chemical levels.
Maintain attentiveness to process details and equipment. Timers temperature controllers and indicators rectifier amp and volt meters and other associated equipment must be set-up and adhered to.
Complete processes of fixturing/racking surface activation; the use of filters pumps and agitators/mixers.
Perform pre- and post- processing tasks including but not limited to degreasing cleaning scrubbing visual and dimensional inspection and baking.
Make up chemical solutions condition plating tanks change filters
Use of inspection and lab equipment and methods including atomic absorption spectrophotometer titration XRF and microscopes.
Maintain all required logs documents and records as .
Move material within the cell.
Use of pumps cranes and lifting carts to move chemicals during tank changes makeup and additions.
Must follow all safety standards as outlined by the certification trained on at all times. The health and safety regulations encompass the cleanliness of the area.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
HS diploma or equivalent
3 years of Electroplating experience preferred
Ability to work with Acetone Trichloroethylene hot water and drying ovens
Experience inspecting pins
Understanding of Amps/Milliamps and square inches
Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Physical Demands:
Good coordination and flexibility in both hands
Move and occasionally lift up to 50lbs. or more
Good vision including passing color blindness test
