Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• To perform various plating processes to deposit precious metals on substrates.

• Operate plating processes including cleaning and electrodeposit plating.

• Follow verbal and written Engineering and Quality Control instructions as contained in process procedures blueprints operating in a specified and quality manner.

• Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals

• Manually performs or operates equipment requiring setups constant monitoring and periodic adjustments in temperature and/or chemical levels.

• Maintain attentiveness to process details and equipment. Timers temperature controllers and indicators rectifier amp and volt meters and other associated equipment must be set-up and adhered to.

• Complete processes of fixturing/racking surface activation; the use of filters pumps and agitators/mixers.

• Perform pre- and post- processing tasks including but not limited to degreasing cleaning scrubbing visual and dimensional inspection and baking.

• Make up chemical solutions condition plating tanks change filters

• Use of inspection and lab equipment and methods including atomic absorption spectrophotometer titration XRF and microscopes.

• Maintain all required logs documents and records as .

• Move material within the cell.

• Use of pumps cranes and lifting carts to move chemicals during tank changes makeup and additions.

• Must follow all safety standards as outlined by the certification trained on at all times. The health and safety regulations encompass the cleanliness of the area.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• HS diploma or equivalent

• 3 years of Electroplating experience preferred

• Ability to work with Acetone Trichloroethylene hot water and drying ovens

• Experience inspecting pins

• Understanding of Amps/Milliamps and square inches

• Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

Physical Demands:

• Good coordination and flexibility in both hands

• Move and occasionally lift up to 50lbs. or more

• Good vision including passing color blindness test

Work Environment:

• Factory environment
