This position is in Cargills food and bioindustrialbusiness where manufacturers retailers and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.

Job Purpose and Impact

Cargill is seeking an experienced business development/sales professional to fill the position of Northeast United States account manager for road construction industry. The ideal candidate will be expected to develop and advance Cargills Anova product line within the Southeast market. The Senior Account Manager will focus on the management of current customer accounts and business development in our asphalt additives segment - securing new customers and introducing new products to the customers in order to achieve margin target this role you will handle critical or complex products that require excellent client relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning. This role requires the candidate to be based in the Southeast U.S. with regular travel expected to cover the assigned territory.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop a plan to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
  • Build a business plan for each account.
  • Coordinate use of resource to provide value added services to accounts.
  • Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning product price and service strategies.
  • Support supervisor and other sales professionals in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field preferably engineering civil engineering or business; or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of sales or related experience in the asphalt industry
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of sales or related experience in the asphalt industry
  • Sales experience working with transportation infrastructure paving construction asphalt or related field
  • Experience working with Salesforce
  • Proven experience selling products in a business-to-business sales environment

  • Location: This role is open to remote candidates in the Southeast region of the US
  • The expected salary for this position is approximately $120000 to $160000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location certifications education and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal.
