The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is seeking a full-time Marketing Project Manager to be the conductor of OMSIs marketing team ensuring all aspects of our marketing campaigns are moving smoothly on track and on-schedule. They work closely with the Senior Director of Brand Marketing on the planning and implementation of marketing efforts around major exhibits membership events and educational programs. They manage the relationships with media partners coordinate all aspects of OMSIs media buys and assist in tracking and evaluating these marketing campaigns across all channels in order to optimize performance. The Marketing Project Manager helps manage department finances; they track budgets and ensure invoicing and payments are made on time so there are no surprises at the end of the month. The Marketing Project Manager also supports Marketing and other departments on special projects such as video shoots and special events.
Qualified candidates will have but not limited to:
- Demonstrated knowledge of marketing principles and strategies such as advertising and content strategy media planning and buying and audience segmentation and targeting
- Developed knowledge of CRM Google Analytics and social media
- Ability to foster relationships with internal partners listening carefully to understand their motivations and needs and thoughtfully synthesizing and delivering the appropriate communications
- Academic degree with an emphasis on Marketing Communications or related field; or equivalent non-academic experience
- Minimum of 5 years cumulative experience - with increasing responsibility - as follows:
- Experience with guiding multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational team and project-based Marketing goals;
- Documented communications expertise that engages audiences from all backgrounds in a strategic and thoughtful way. Written pieces focused on producing engaging content of varying formats and mediums;
- Examples of effective time management and organization;
- Examples of strong facilitation and presentation skills in project-based assignments.
The Marketing Project Manager has an annual pay of $67842.86 and is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:
