Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of key inventory accounts including developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Verify accuracy of costs for key inventory accounts and assist with continuous improvement in internal controls related to inventory.
- Monitor inventory transactions and recoiling inventory accounts to the general ledger.
- Prepare analyze and report quarterly LCM analysis by LOTs/Deals.
- Assist in month-end closing prepare journal entries as necessary and analyze inventory evaluation and inventory roll forward.
- Coordinate with IT department for the correction of system issues and for the monitoring of key aspects of the business such as purchasing receiving and shipping.
- Analyze cost accounting data and assist cycle count/physical inventories.
- Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales cost and inventory liability accounts by customer type for key accounts and consignment arrangements.
- Train and supervise staff members of the team.
- Work with direct report to establish and monitor performance goals and objectives on a yearly basis and provide sufficient feedback.
- Review and analyze inventory margin reports conduct research and perform analytical studies in regard to cost analysis and profitability.
- Support and assist internal audit department by contributing with audit requests tax schedules and others
- Assist with implementation and compliance of SOX (404) control structure.
- Collaborate with other groups and departments to ensure proper costing and consumption of inventory purchased to be consumed in technical operations and MRO projects.
- Support in special projects as required.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting
- 3 years of experience in accounting required
- Experience with cost accounting or inventory required.
Abilities and Skills:
- Strong in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must have appropriate verbal and written communication skills.
- Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Aviation industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Pentagon and Quantum ERPs preferred.
