THE RECRUITMENT RANGE FOR THIS POSITION IS LIMITED TO $39671 to $49440. Salary offers for the selected candidate are based on the candidates education and experience related to the position as well as our agency budget and equity.

This position supports the Financial Services team with various administrative duties.

Administrative support for Finance
This includes but is not limited to answering phone calls and replying to emails

Management of mail for Finance
Open date stamp review and distribute incoming mail to FSS staff
Log checks received in FSS and work with FSS partner to reconcile and verify all checks were deposited daily
Assist with mailing out payments outgoing payments to vendors remittance advice

Ad hoc assignments as assigned by Finance Management team
Examples include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain and scan A/P files file into batches
  • Pulling records for Public Record requests
  • Scanning invoices
  • Making copies

Knowledge Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Management Preferences:

  • Thorough knowledge of services policies and procedures related to a program or area of specialization. Thorough knowledge of program information systems in order to communicate and process information.
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply this knowledge in performance of administrative tasks. Ability to explain and interpret information to clients/customers and staff.
  • Ability to compile assimilate and organize both printed and electronic information. Ability to apply knowledge of data collection storage organization manipulation and/or analysis of data.
  • Ability to utilize office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet organizational needs.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Transcripts:Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. A copy of your transcripts indicating the degree received can be uploaded with your application. If a transcript has been requested your application will be considered incomplete if you do not provide one. Using a photograph of your diploma is not acceptable.

Credit for foreign degrees will only be given if verification of degree certification is attached to your application. Transcripts for foreign degrees have to be evaluated by an organization like World Education Services to determine US equivalency.

Any licenses or certificates must be included in the appropriate section of the application form.

Veterans Preference: Applicants seeking Veterans Preference must attach a copy of their DD-214 or discharge orders.

Applicants seeking National Guard Preference must attach a NGB 23A (RPAS) if you are a current member of the NC National Guard in good standing. If you are a former member of the NC National Guard who served for at least 6 years and was discharged under honorable conditions you must attach either a DD256 or NGB 22.
