Preble Streets evidence-based Rapid Rehousing program collaborates with landlords and community partners to offer evidence-based solutions-oriented services toward ending homelessness in Maine.
The Rapid Rehousing Services (RRHS) team is seeking a Full-Time Caseworker (4 -Months Temporary Position) based in York County. This role provides case management and housing-related services while ensuring the safety of clients and program spaces; participates in program coverage and outreach activities; ensures the collection documentation and reporting of required information and data; and works collaboratively with the RRHS team to support and achieve outcomes aligned with program goals and the agencys mission.
The RRH Caseworker qualifications include education in social work or related field and experience relevant to working with people experiencing homelessness or a comparable combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Masters degree in social work or related field of study or bachelors degree in social work and 2-3 years relevant experience.
Caseworkers must also have an understanding of and alignment with Preble Streets mission positive regard for individuals accessing services for homelessness and poverty and a commitment to providing low-barrier services as well as strong communication de-escalation and crisis intervention skills; familiarity with community resources; ability to develop productive collaborative relationships with community partners and landlords; strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain documentation of services; ability to maintain professional boundaries with diverse populations; and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Compensation and Benefits
This 4-month temporary position is benefits-eligible on a partial basis follows a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week and offers an hourly pay rate of $23.12.
