Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline-powered engines and components
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair brake systems suspensions transmissions electrical hydraulic and clutch systems
- Maintain accurate service logs and repair documentation in our digital fleet management system
- Repair and service small power equipment (e.g. compressors mowers jackhammers)
- Manage parts inventory and assist with ordering supplies and developing vehicle specifications
- Operate plow trucks and participate in snow removal and emergency operations as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean organized workspace
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in diesel and gasoline engine maintenance and repair
- Technical/vocational training in automotive or diesel mechanics
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
