Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Bartender is responsible for crafting high-quality cocktails beer wine and nonalcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional service. This role ensures that all drinks meet Manifest’s quality and presentation standards while maintaining a welcoming and engaging atmosphere. The bartender upholds all safety and compliance regulations verifies patron identification and ensures responsible alcohol service. Additional responsibilities include maintaining bar cleanliness tracking inventory and handling transactions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Experience & Service
- Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails spirits beer wine and nonalcoholic beverages according to customer requests and Manifest standards
- Enhance customer experience and loyalty by providing excellent service and engaging interactions
- Maintain a welcoming and professional demeanor while ensuring a safe and respectful environment
- Greet guests take and fulfill orders efficiently and process payments promptly
- Adhere to Manifest’s service standards and brand expectations
- Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts and comply with the dress code policy
Bar Operations & Organization
- Ensure all cocktail ingredients garnishes and bar tools are prepped and stocked before opening
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar ensuring a visually appealing and functional workspace
- Complete opening and closing checklists for every shift
- Monitor glassware usage and breakage reporting any necessary replacements
- Track alcohol inventory levels and request orders for liquor beer wine and other supplies
- Accurately handle cash and electronic payments balancing the cash drawer at the end of each shift
Compliance & Safety
- Verify patron identification and age to ensure legal drinking requirements are met
- Exercise good judgment when serving alcohol refusing service to intoxicated or disruptive guests as necessary
- Maintain all necessary certifications credentials and qualifications to legally serve alcohol
- Follow all local state and company regulations regarding alcohol service and consumption
Training & Development
- Stay informed on mixology trends flavor profiles and innovative cocktail techniques Participate in ongoing training and development programs related to bartending customer service and Manifest operations
- Expand knowledge of Manifest’s offerings to make informed recommendations to guests
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Expand knowledge of food and beverage pairing
Skills Abilities & Performance:
- Extensive knowledge of cocktail preparation mixology techniques and drink presentation Understanding of alcohol and beverage laws and regulations
- Ability to craft both classic and creative cocktails including pairing flavors effectively
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a focus on hospitality
- Ability to remain professional and composed when handling difficult or intoxicated patrons
- Familiarity with bar point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to anticipate customer and team needs to enhance the overall experience
- Commitment to upholding Manifest’s service and brand standards
SKILLS ABILITIES & PERFORMANCE:
- Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service
- Knowledge of applicable alcohol and beverage laws and regulations
- Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
- Understanding unique and complementary flavor pairings
- Ability to evaluate member and community (non-member) responsiveness and satisfaction
- Ability to enforce company policies regard the consumption of alcohol
- Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons
- Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant
- Knowledge of Manifest operations
- Knowledge and expertise offered Manifest services
- Ability to embody service and anticipate member community and staff needs
- Ability to meet and achieve goals established by management with little supervision
- Ability to be a reasonable resource to member community and staff
- Ability to exhibit positive behaviors to cultivate a positive work environment
- Barista experience is a plus but not needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Completion of mixology barkeeping or other related training required
- At least 2-3 years of bartending experience

- Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
- Must be legal drinking age or older
