Were Looking For a Principal DevOps / Cloud Engineer
Were partnering with a leading US-based company on a major cloud transformation initiative. This is a opportunity to take technical ownership of building a secure scalable Azure environment from the ground up helping to shape critical infrastructure decisions from day one.
Youll join a small team of senior and principal-level engineers focused on designing and implementing a greenfield Azure setup that complements an existing AWS-based data platform and application architecture.
What Youll Be Doing

Analyze an existing AWS lakehouse and application stack to map out Azure equivalents

Make key early decisions around Azure services for data compute networking and security
-
Design and build the Azure landing zone including core infrastructure components

Lead initial hands-on implementation (this role requires deep technical involvement not just architecture)

Drive best practices for cost efficiency scalability and compliance

Collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure smooth integration between platforms
-
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members as the project scales
What You Bring
7 years of experience in DevOps Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure roles

Strong background with Azure architecture and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or Bicep preferred)

Experience designing and building Azure landing zones and managing enterprise-grade cloud deployments

Solid understanding of AWS services (to translate to Azure equivalents)

Hands-on skills with CI/CD pipelines automation and scripting (e.g. Python PowerShell Bash)

Familiarity with security best practices identity/access models and data governance in cloud environments
-
Strong communication and leadership skills youll be mentoring others and making foundational choices
-
Fluent in English (B2 level minimum)
Nice to Have
-
Prior experience in cloud-to-cloud migrations (AWS to Azure or hybrid)
-
Knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g. lakehouses data lakes Snowflake Synapse etc.)
-
Certifications in Azure Architecture or DevOps
