Lab Assistant
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine testing of grain samples.
What youll do
- Prepares daily samples for inspection.
- Sorts and files all required documents and samples.
- Records results in logbook and maintains record of samples and data logs.
- Maintains cleanliness of the lab including equipment floors and counters.
- May assist with receiving sorting and distributing grain samples.
- Perform routine testing of malt germinations falling number of wheat and rye and immunoassay of mycotoxins protein sizing and test weights of malt barley.
What you bring to our team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail oriented and proven organizational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations.
- Grade 12 or equivalent. Previous experience working in a lab is an asset.
