Job Description
As a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Leads the strategy for our UI estate driving best practices on UX architecture and integration with our Back end components
- Executes creative software solutions design develop and innovate across a full stack suite of applications.
- Thinks beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Engages directly with our Product Owners and stakeholders to drive the delivery of novel solutions
- Mentors and guides the next generation of software engineers
- Develops secure high-quality production code and collaborate with peers to review and debug code
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Investigates and triages new technologies that can provide benefit to the platform engage with senior partners to introduce these to the stack
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience
- Advanced Full Stack development experience in Pythonand Django with strong proficiency in React
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Knowledge of PySpark & Databricks is desirable
- Knowledge with MQ Kafka
