POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Designer will support the Design Director and broader team in the design and development of seasonal accessories collections including bags small leather goods and belts. This role requires strong organizational skills creative curiosity and a foundational understanding of design processes to help bring compelling brand-relevant products to life.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Assistant Designer Womens AccessoriesFull-price
Design: Assist in the design and development of seasonal accessories collectionsincluding bags belts and SLGs in concept ideation sketching and creating technical specs.
Research & Trend: Support in trend research material sourcing and competitive market analysis. Monitor fashion trends emerging designers and market shifts to bring fresh ideas to the team.
Mood & Presentation Setups: Develop mood boards sketches (hand and digital) and presentation materials as need for key milestone meetings. Assist in prototype set ups and product presentations for cross-functional or leadership review meetings
Cross-functional Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development and Global Merchandising to ensure designs are in synch with PD Merch and business needs
Proto Reviews: Assist in prototype reviews and making revisions based on feedback.
Design Archive & Workroom Libraries: Organize samples materials and design archives.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Fashion Design Accessory Design or a related field.
12 years of experience in accessory or handbag design (internships count).
Strong understanding of handbag construction materials and hardware.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
Strong sketching and rendering skillsboth by hand and digitally.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for fashion accessories and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of leather and alternative materials.
Familiarity with PLM systems or other product lifecycle tools.
A sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
Pay Range:$$85200PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications geographic location and other relevant skills.
