POSITION SUMMARY
Empire State Realty Trust (ESRT) seeks a Art Director to manage and elevate the companys branding efforts across a variety of marketing channels. They will deliver against digital and print marketing objectives to produce original content while contributing fresh innovative ideas and solutions that promote the ESRT and Empire State Building (ESB) brands and yield results.
The Art Director will collaborate with the Marketing Leasing PR and other departments to deliver an exceptional consistent design content to our key stakeholders. This will require a detail-oriented highly motivated creative and organized team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the marketing team in the planning creation and execution of its multi-channel marketing efforts for ESRT and ESB
Design digital and print campaigns in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
Create the design layout and file preparation of digital and print marketing materials including but not limited to advertisements flyers manuals brochures infographics posters email campaigns/HTMLs website logos event promotions postcards presentations social media assets and other promotional content
Image retouching for use on website social media and other marketing channels
Contribute to and provide design support as needed for a variety of cross-departmental projects
Build on existing corporate and building brand guidelines standards and design assets
Communicate with vendors to ensure materials are produced in a quality accurate and timely manner
Occasionally produce high-quality videos motion graphics and animations to support ESRTs marketing efforts and objectives
Maintain a working knowledge of design best practices emerging technologies and innovation strategies to leverage for improvement of current processes
Use storytelling data visualization graphic and presentation design to differentiate and promote ESRT
Carry out marketing strategies using bold ideas and compelling visuals that are consistent with brand image and messaging
Communicate and prepare design concepts to cater to the differing needs of various stakeholders (e.g. tenants brokers tourists etc.)
Translate intangible numerical and communication concepts into visual mediums
Mentor and collaborate with Junior Graphic Designer to create and deliver content

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
5 years of experience in the graphic design field
Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred
Experience with print digital and video marketing
Familiarity with contemporary trends in graphic design
Experience with print knowledge of techniques and variables
Expertise in design principles composition color theory and brand adherence
Ability to create attractive visual designs out of statistics and data
Experience in video editing and interactive/motion design a plus
Experience with 3D and structural modeling/renderings a plus
Photography skills a plus
Real estate knowledge/experience a plus
Strong organization prioritization time management and interpersonal skills
Operates with a sense of urgency and with a precise attention to detail
Creative thinker and problem solver
Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and partners
Ability to multi-task and juggle numerous projects simultaneously
Ability to work in a large complex dynamic organization
Ability to work through ambiguity and change direction rapidly as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
5 years of experience in E-commerce Digital Marketing or a similar role
Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Digital Media or a related field
PMP Agile or other relevant certifications preferred
Previous experience within the real estate tourism or hospitality industries is a plus
PROGRAMS AND SOFTWARE
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite tools: Illustrator InDesign Photoshop Premiere Pro and AfterEffects
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
Some experience in HTML/CSS WordPress and other web design programming
Social Media: Facebook Instagram Pinterest LinkedIn Google Analytics and Ad Words

$150000 - $165000 a year
Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience job location size of property where applicable and/or addition to your base salary ESRT provides discretionary annual bonuses.
