Job Description
OCH Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated Java Spring Boot developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building modern scalable web applications using Java and the Spring Boot framework. The candidate will be responsible for designing developing testing and maintaining back-end services and APIs in microservices architecture.
Location
Remote Commutable distance from Egg Harbor Township NJ on an as needed basis.
Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Independently deliver initiatives/features based on directions from client architects.
- Lead a team of senior developers.
- Own the quality of the product from code architecture to end-user quality.
- Engage in code reviews to ensure team members are contributing code that meets the short and long-term goals of our applications and architecture.
- Articulate context internally for the team and to the larger organization.
- Consult with architecture development infrastructure and operational teams to address issues relating to application architecture such as performance or availability and recommend solutions.
- Provide technical coaching to encourage your team to solve technical problems in unique ways.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Math or Science.
Experience
- At least five (5) years relevant experience
- Experience with Cloud Microservices DevOps and Angular
- Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular-8 and above React JS Ionic etc..
- Experience in building applications utilizing Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks (Spring Data Spring Security Spring Cloud)
- Experience implementing CI/CD with tools like Gitlab Jenkins Ansible etc.
Security Clearance Requirement
Candidate must have the ability to hold and maintain a Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience architecting designing and implementing complex applications using various architecture styles like Microservices REST Batch SOA etc.
- Experience with design patterns UML creating software architecture documents and detailed designs
- Experience with application deployment and management using Jenkins Ansible Chef Terraform Cloud Foundry AWS Dockers Kubernetes etc.
Other Required Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including but not limited to: Word PowerPoint Excel Access and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
