Job Description
Location: Reid Clinic JBSA - Lackland Air Force Base Texas 78236
Work Schedule: Monday Friday betweennot to exceed 40 hours/week
Qualifications:- Education: High school diploma or equivalent with experience using Microsoft Office products.
- Experience: Experience using Microsoft Office applications
- At least one year of experience performing clerical/administrative duties in a medical or healthcare environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 20-hr Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) certification course to assist as a Hearing Conservationist.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen
- Perform administrative tasks using Government-provided equipment and systems
- Verify patient identity and eligibility in DEERS and update demographic information in CHCS
- Check patients in and enter data into MHS GENESIS and AHLTA systems
- Support the BEST and BAS programs through appointment scheduling and records management
- Ensure electronic health records (EHRs) are accurate and up to date
- Obtain and submit Third Party Collection data to Resource Management Office (RMO)
- Identify and flag PRP patients and initiate required administrative processes
- Educate and enroll patients in secure messaging systems
- Assist patients with visit paperwork and direct them to appropriate services
- Schedule confirm and follow up on patient appointments per clinic policy
- Track diagnostic test results and coordinate follow-up actions
- Complete end-of-day appointment processing and documentation
- Assist clinic leadership (Office Manager SGA GPM) as needed
- Train and assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate outpatient records and compliance documentation
- Track key metrics (no-shows walk-ins late arrivals) and report as needed
- Monitor patient waiting areas and report any safety issues
