Duties: Job Summary: The Ultra sonographer will ensure that the evaluation of Ultrasound procedures are administered in a fashion that is accurate timely responsive and reliable. Customers served include UHSH employees Medical Staff patients and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service. Job Responsibilities: -Demonstrates the ability to perform ultrasound procedures as requested by referring physicians as well as providing the necessary documentation associated with the procedures. -Participates in all Radiology Management System functions as they relate to patient procedures. -Provides patient education as required. -Participates and is knowledgeable regarding the appropriate methods of cleaning/ disinfection of ultrasound equipment and probes. -Demonstrates knowledge of ultrasound equipment function. -Maintains quality assurance guidelines by reporting equipment malfunction to supervisor and BioMed. -Abides by the service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in interactions with patients visitors employees or other customers. -Adheres to appropriate and accepted clinical principles methods and procedures while performing ultrasound procedures. -Maintains confidentiality of patients and hospital information. -Complies with all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to incident reporting. -Performs other related duties as required.

Schedule Notes: 13 Weeks Adult Echo in a clinical setting: adult outpatient clinic experience preferred Philips Epiq ultrasound machines Monday-Friday 8-5; 1 hour lunch scanning 4 outpatient Echos in the am and scanning 4 outpatient Echos in the pm. Located at our Vestal Heart & Vascular (Cardiology) office. Closed on National Holidays; New Years Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving and Christmas. Echo required adult outpatient clinic experience preferred Required Certifications & Licensure: -ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) -BLS Certification (AHA HSI or American Red Cross).
