Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery (Permanent Role) Location: Waco TX 76712
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Essential Responsibilities - Perform detailed clinical assessments to identify patient and family needs.
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans in alignment with best practices.
- Modify care plans to optimize patient outcomes.
- Foster therapeutic relationships with patients and families while maintaining professionalism.
- Provide education to patients families nursing staff and the community to support informed health decisions.
- Regularly assess and document educational needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community resources to create cohesive care plans.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure timely follow-up.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving strategies in clinical decision-making.
- Recognize personal limitations and seek appropriate support or intervention when needed.
- Ensure safe effective and efficient delivery of patient care.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement collaboration and professional development.
- Mentor peers and demonstrate commitment to community service and outreach.
Key Success Factors: - Strong clinical knowledge of nursing standards procedures and care delivery.
- Familiarity with nursing laws regulations and ethical guidelines in Texas.
- Competence in hospital policies and operating procedures.
- Understanding of health promotion disease prevention and medication management.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional nursing ethics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with patients families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office EMR systems email scheduling etc.).
Required Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active and Valid RN license in the state of Texas.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
