2nd Shift
Hours: 11am-730pm Monday through Friday.
Summary
Material Handlers contribute to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by receiving distribution
storing and maintenance of inventory items. This position works in a fast-paced organized quality &
safety focused environment with a collaborative flexible and continuous improvement mindset. Material
Handlers can work independently and as part of a team and enjoy applying their attention to detail and
work well under pressure. This position may rotate into other areas give direction prioritize work of other
material handlers.
The Essential Roles and Responsibilities
Adheres to all environmental health and safety SOPs equipment policies and procedures including
any department specific requirements.
Maintains a mindset that all accidents can be prevented and work proactively to achieve zero harm in
the workplace.
Follows defined Quality Management Systems all applicable procedures reviews maintenance
records and completes all documentation as required.
Controls and maintains the flow of material through the storeroom through production or distribution.
Receives incoming material into the facility in accordance with procedures.
Performs cycle counts.
Works with customer service supply chain receiving & inspection and quality personnel to resolve
issues as needed.
Works independently as a part of a team to achieve process yield results.
May train employees on an as needed basis.
May coordinate the daily activities of other material handlers.
May prepare customer orders for shipment.
May use and operate forklift equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily.
Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow work instructions is required.
Proficient computer skills required to enter data navigate and routinely toggle between various
application systems.
Must have experience with Electronic Inventory Management Systems (MRP / ERP).
Must be comfortable with being trained to operate forklift and ability to operate other material handling
equipment (ex. pallet jack or walkie stacker).
Must be able to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as required
including safety glasses at all times.
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent walking stooping reaching climbing
overhead reaching grasping and using fine & gross motor manipulation.
Must be able to lift up to 18lbs on a routine basis and up to 66lbs on an occasional basis.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Experience and Education
High School diploma or equivalent required
Plus 2-3 years related experience required
Previous forklift experience is strongly preferred
Are Workers Project-based
