Job Description
Location: Norwich multiple sites including Hedneys Farm Barns Salhouse Road Panworth NR16 6JJ
Duration: 1-2 months
We are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to oversee the general maintenance of multiple sites in Norwich. The role involves tasks such as grass cutting hedge trimming clearing leaves hoeing pruning strimming planting weed control setting out and overmarking sports pitches and maintaining artificial/synthetic surfaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for the correct usage and maintenance of equipment and vehicles interpretation of plans site preparation and soft and hard landscaping.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as grass cutting hedge trimming and planting
- Maintain sports pitches and artificial/synthetic surfaces
- Utilize a range of tools and equipment including powered hand tools and ride-on mowers
- Ensure correct usage and maintenance of equipment and vehicles
- Interpret plans and prepare sites for landscaping
- Oversee soft and hard landscaping activities

Requirements
- Valid Driving Licence
- Enhanced DBS
- References
- Highly motivated individual
- Experience in commercial or amenity horticulture
- Good communication and liaison skills
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of fine turf surfaces
- Understanding of technical aspects of grounds maintenance
- Good plant knowledge
- Horticultural qualification
- Experience of towing a trailer
