Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled SQL/BI Engineer to join our team for a 4-6 month contract engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud-based data architecture hands-on expertise in SQL (especially on Google BigQuery and solid proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and reporting. You will be responsible for building and optimizing scalable data pipelines and dashboards that support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain robust scalable and efficient data pipelines using SQL on cloud platforms (BigQuery is a must).

Design build and optimize queries and views for reporting and analytics.

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Build interactive and insightful dashboards using Tableau to support business KPIs and metrics.

Ensure data accuracy integrity and governance across datasets and visualizations.

Collaborate with data engineers analysts and business teams to ensure high-quality data delivery.

Troubleshoot performance issues in queries and dashboards ensuring optimal .
Required Skills:

Strong understanding of modern cloud-based data architecture and distributed data processing.

Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and transforming large datasets.

Must-have: Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery.

Demonstrated experience building data pipelines using SQL.

Strong skills in Tableau: dashboard design visual analytics performance optimization.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have (Optional):

Experience with dbt Airflow or similar data orchestration tools.

Familiarity with other cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake Redshift).

Knowledge of scripting (Python Shell) for automation.
