Job Description
Machine Operator - Worktops
Howdens are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team at Howden to safely manufacture a range of finished worktops to the correct quality specification.
To be successful in this role you must haveproven experience as a Machine Operator in a fast-paced manufacturing environment along with a strong understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
Pay rate as a Machine Operator:
- 42137.68 per annum shift allowance
Shift Pattern:
- Days and night shift working on a 3-weekly rotation (4-3-3). Start times - (05:45am -6:00pm 5:45pm -06:00am)
The role:
- Performing machine pre use safety checks and setting up the machine in the allocated time frame using the specific SOP
- Continuous monitoring of the machine during production
- Performing detailed process quality checks in accordance with the area SOP and in line with the published control plans and gauges provided
- Weekly autonomous and preventative maintenance
- Performing minor adjustments when required and ensuring the area is maintained to the agreed housekeeping standards
- Work to drawing specifications in order to produce products accurately and to the correct quality standards
