What You Will Do:
Team Leadership & Oversight:
Lead and support a dynamic team of seasonal contingent workers adjusting staffing levels based on project needs.
Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Project Development Support:
Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Controls to develop construction budgets scopes and schedules.
Provide construction input to design teams to enhance project feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
Contribute to the creation of detailed construction execution plans and master schedules.
Construction Execution & Contract Management:
Oversee all field construction activities ensuring projects are delivered on time within budget and to quality standards.
Manage the full lifecycle of construction contracts including negotiation execution performance tracking and closure.
Conduct pre-construction meetings progress reviews and lessons-learned sessions with contractors.
Ensure compliance with construction standards safety protocols and documentation requirements.
Performance & Risk Management:
Monitor project performance identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement across all construction activities.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of construction progress forecasts and budget updates.
Safety Leadership:
Champion a zero-incident safety culture through proactive engagement and field presence.
Promote a transparent no-retribution environment for reporting safety concerns.
Collaborate with safety and project teams to implement best practices and safety initiatives.
Who You Are:
Applicable University degree College diploma or related construction or operational training and or experience. For candidates who do not possess a university degree an additional 3-year of relatable experience is required.
Minimum of 6 years progressively responsible working experience in the pipeline and/or facilities industry including a strong working knowledge of pipeline and/or facilities construction principles industry standards governmental regulations and complex detailed and/or project management experience.
Must have exposure to Engineering Construction and Field operations
Excavation Welding Hoisting Equipment Knowledge
Familiar with industry codes regulations standards and specifications
General understanding of pipeline facilities and terminal operations
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Software experience with MS Office Suite and Oracle or SAP
Valid drivers license
Legal ability to cross the U.S. - Canadian border
OSHA 30 Training
Working Conditions:
Office and field environment.
Scheduled travel to Enbridge offices operating facilities construction sites and supplier facilities (up to 50%).
Available outside normal work hours to address any technical cost safety and environmental issues that occur during active projects.
Typical 8-12 hours of work per day. Weekends and holidays may be required if urgency dictates.
Respond to emergency conditions (incident response equipment breakdowns).
Medium to high mental stress levels occur at times during critical instances.
Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Grasping kneeling light moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds) reaching above shoulder repetitive motion sitting standing visual requirement (able to see screens detect color coding read fine print) hearing requirement.
