Job Duties:

VIB is seeking a VIB Assistant Supervisor- Norfolk ServMart to be responsible for the implementation of the goals and objectives of VIB by leading the day-to-day operations of the Norfolk ServMart team.
This position is responsible for:
Supervision.
Staffing.
Procurement.
Receiving.
Stocking
Inventory management.
Merchandising.
Transactional purchases
Overall operational efficiency of the location.
Other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Completes duties and/or projects as needed or directed by supervisor.
This is a subcontracted commercial contract position.
Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge/Experience -
Supervisory or managerial experience.
General Warehousing and or retail experience.
Customer Service experience
Independent decision-making experience
Experienced with Point-of-Sale Systems.
Skills/Abilities-
Ability to function in a fast paced sometimes high-pressure environment.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication.
Ability to operate a personal computer with or without adaptive technology.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Critical Thinking skills to be able to use logic and reason to identify alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing business needs.
Ability to listen and respond to customer service requests while maintaining accurate records.
Able to lift and carry 30 to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend and lift in a repetitive manner throughout the workday.
Good manual dexterity.
Able to stand for six to eight hours.
Ability to perform duties independently without direct supervision.

Employment is contingent upon the selected candidate being able to pass a background check required for access to the Base.
This position is exempt from the Virginia Personnel Act and is otherwise known as non-classified.
