We are seeking an exceptional Digital Planning Account Director to be a senior member of our rapidly growing Marketing Services team. This pivotal role will sit at the intersection of strategy growth and operational excellence driving the successful delivery of complex global digital marketing initiatives.
Working directly with the Senior Vice President of Marketing Services you will be instrumental in translating complex B2B technology client objectives and ambitions into actionable digital strategies and workflows ensuring flawless transition from business development to client onboarding. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned digital leader to make a significant impact within a rapidly growing agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Digital Planning & Leadership:
- Lead the development of comprehensive data-driven digital marketing strategies across diverse channels (Paid Social PPC Display Programmatic SEO Content etc.) for a portfolio of global B2B technology clients.
- Act as the strategic digital lead providing expert counsel and thought leadership to senior client stakeholders (Director to C-suite level) within the technology sector.
- Identify new opportunities for digital growth within existing client accounts and contribute to new business pitches specifically targeting B2B tech companies.
- Project Management & Delivery:
- Work with the SVP of Marketing Services new clients and prospects on early phase proposals plans and concepts and operationalising those into tangible actionable workflows for the Marketing Services Team.
- Expertly build out detailed scopes of work comprehensive project plans realistic budgets and efficient resourcing plans for complex global digital initiatives (e.g. product launches always-on campaigns brand awareness drives).
- Oversee project timelines deliverables and quality assurance ensuring campaigns are delivered on time within budget and to the highest standards.
- Anticipate and proactively mitigate risks developing contingency plans for global rollouts and diverse market nuances.
- Paid Media Specialisation & Oversight:
- Demonstrate deep expertise and strategic understanding of Paid Social (Meta LinkedIn TikTok etc.) and PPC (Google Ads Microsoft Ads) with a proven track record of driving performance for B2B technology clients.
- Guide and oversee media planning and activation teams ensuring strategies are optimized for performance aligned with client KPIs (e.g. MQLs SQLs pipeline velocity) and leveraging the latest platform capabilities.
- Provide strategic recommendations on global media budget allocation bidding strategies and audience targeting for complex B2B tech audiences.
- Digital Brand Building Expertise:
- Possess a proven track record in developing and executing digital strategies specifically designed for digital brand building across international markets with a strong emphasis on B2B tech brands.
- Understand how to leverage various digital channels to drive brand awareness consideration and preference beyond direct response particularly for technology solutions and services.
- Advise clients on online reputation management brand safety and creating consistent brand experiences across digital touchpoints globally.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary strategic contact for key client accounts building and nurturing strong trusted relationships at senior levels within B2B technology organizations.
- Lead client meetings presentations and workshops effectively communicating complex digital concepts and performance insights tailored for tech stakeholders.
- Ensure exceptional client satisfaction by understanding their unique business objectives and consistently delivering value.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Provide guidance mentorship and support to a team of digital marketers and creatives.
- Foster a collaborative environment encouraging continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in digital marketing within an agency environment with existing experience operating at Account Director or Senior Digital Planner level.
- Demonstrable experience working with B2B technology clients is essential.
- Proven expertise in building out scopes of work project plans detailed budgets and resource allocation plans for complex multi-faceted digital campaigns particularly for global clients.
- Demonstrable experience and strategic acumen in Paid Social PPC content marketing and digital brand building.
- Strong understanding of the broader digital marketing landscape including SEO content marketing analytics and CRM/marketing automation integration within a B2B context.
- Extensive experience managing global digital campaigns understanding the nuances of local market adaptation cultural considerations and international regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset comfortable with data interpretation performance reporting and leveraging insights to drive strategic decisions.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and proven project management skills (familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile/Scrum is a plus).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic and client-centric environment.
Desirable:
- Experience with specific B2B tech industry verticals (e.g. SaaS Cloud Cybersecurity AI/ML Enterprise Hardware).
- Fluency in an additional language relevant to global markets.
- Experience with advanced analytics platforms or attribution modeling specific to B2B sales cycles.
- Certifications in major ad platforms (Google Ads Meta Blueprint LinkedIn Marketing Solutions).
