Job Description:

The College of Veterinary Medicines Department of Comparative Diagnostic and Population Medicine at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications to join our Veterinary Forensic Pathology service for a 2-year Adjunct Lecturer faculty position in Veterinary Forensic Pathology.

The individual will participate in and support the teaching and service activities of the Veterinary Forensic Sciences Laboratory. This is a two-year training position in veterinary forensic pathology and the second year of this position will fulfill the requirements for the ACVP Veterinary Forensic Pathology Fellowship Training. Teaching responsibilities will involve clinical training of professional students and residents and continuing education training. Completion of a research project will be required during year 2. The Veterinary Forensic Sciences Laboratory is a vibrant service that provides clinical service to a multitude of governmental and non-governmental agencies/organizations.

Required Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position are a DVM or equivalent degree from an approved institution completion of a veterinary anatomic pathology residency training program or equivalent training and successful completion of phase I of the ACVP board-certification examination in anatomic pathology.

Preferred:

Experience in veterinary forensic science and/or veterinary forensic pathology are preferred but not required.
