Join the Cleveland Clinic team at our Middleburg Heights Facility where you will work alongside passionate caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare. As an RN you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care from initial introduction to final send-off providing professional nursing care to a specified group of patients in a variety of ambulatory care this role you will interact directly with patients families and visitors offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed.

Caregivers in this role will work Monday through Friday with hours ranging from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Site is open 7 days a week hours may vary based on facility needs.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
  • Assess health status complete nursing assessments perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
  • Administer medication and treatments.
  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
  • Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
  • Develop evaluate adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
  • Cover other nursing roles within the department.
  • Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • State license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Prior ambulatory experience experience with prior authorization and pre/post operation experience
  • Experience with EPIC
