Parts and Shipping Manager

The Parts and Shipping Manager is a dynamic role encompassing several different areas of responsibility. This position is directly responsible for the Purchasing Receiving Inventory Control and dispersal of parts and supplies for a multi-car motorsports program. This position is also responsible for both domestic and international shipping as well as basic bookkeeping processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The role requires a self-starting and largely self-managing personality with a strong ability to triage and prioritize tasks as necessary with the direction and assistance of the Team Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage and Triage Purchase Order requests from Technicians and EngineersEnsure technicians receive parts and supplies necessary to keep builds and repairs moving forward on schedule
Maintain accuracy of all items held in company inventory
Work with Project Manager Team Manager and/or Engineers to maintain a reasonable but prudent supply of spare parts for competition teams and special projects
Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers
Purchase and maintain adequate stock of consumables and general supplies
Schedule shipments as necessary
Receive shipments as necessary
Enter purchases and payables in Netsuite for payment
Consolidate shipment costs duty and tariffs and associate them to the correct expense (PO etc)

Education and Experience:
High School Degree or equivalent
Experience in parts management/inventory control/procurement and/or shipping and receiving highly desirable
Familiarity with Netsuite Enterprise software highly desirable
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
