We have an exciting opportunity for an FP&A Analyst within the Electric Power Division (EPD) you will play a key role in driving financial excellence and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. Leveraging your analytical expertise and keen attention to detail you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver timely and insightful financial analysis contribute to continuous process improvements and help cultivate a high-performing finance this role you will lead the monthly financial planning and analysis for EPD and quarterly/annual forecast process as well as support the implementation of OneStream. Caterpillars Electric Power Division (EPD) offers integrated solutions parts and services to meet the needs of our various commercial and industrial electric power customers. EPD supports a wide range of customer applications across the globe including providing back-up power to hospitals providing emergency power when natural disasters strike and supporting critical infrastructure for data centers municipalities and more.

What You Will Do:

  • Support EPD Consolidation Team monthly financial planning and analysis efforts and consolidated reporting deliverables
  • Help coordinate quarterly/annual forecasting cycles and ensure accurate consolidated reporting including enhancement and maintenance of forecasting tools and templates.
  • Work closely with other finance groups within the Division to understand business drivers behind results.
  • Work with our advanced analytics teams to translate business needs into actionable insights.
  • Support OneStream Rollout and develop new reports to replace some legacy system reporting.
  • Work closely with Caterpillars Operational and Analytics COEs (shared service teams) through monthly closing processes.
  • Influence Caterpillars finance culture by demonstrating continuous improvement process efficiency and cross-functional partnership with a detail-oriented and strategic mindset.

What You Have:

  • Effective Communication: Utilize effective communication concepts tools and techniques; effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Manage Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; manage multiple concurrent objectives projects groups or activities making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Decision Making: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; capable of accurately analyzing situations and reaching productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Knowledge of processes methods and tools for financial reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations as well as read interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Vision for Change: See opportunities for change and establish the big picture vision as well as drive thinking and planning towards a long-term strategic goal.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelors degree within Accounting Finance or related area
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis experience at a large public accounting firm or a Fortune 500 company
  • Demonstrate initiative leadership good judgment and accountability as well as be able to work under pressure with tight timelines
  • Power BI OneStream and Axiom experience or willingness to learn as we work to improve our reporting and data analyses
  • Strong communications skills with a passion for asking questions and suggesting improvements

  • This position will be located in our Corporate Headquarters in Irving TX
  • This role is full-time 5 day per week in the office

Summary Pay Range:

$110520.00 - $165840.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
