Job Duties

Virginia Tax is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to assist in the agencys Tax Processing Office. You would become part of a dedicated team that provides analytical support to enhance the Agencys tax return processing and payment systems. As a member of this team you will support systems that are the foundation of Virginia Taxs core operations. They are responsible for the processing of over 14 million tax returns and 8 million payments which help ensure refunds are issued timely and critical Government operations such as education public safety and programs for those in need received the necessary funding.

As a Senior Business Analyst you will have a critical role in ensuring our systems function as designed operate efficiently and effectively meet the needs and expectations of the taxpayers.

Providing senior level functional and analytical support.

Developing complex business requirements for system improvements.

Performing business analysis and problem solving.

Ensuring system changes are working per design.

Participating in Agency projects.

Developing and maintaining documentation.

The anticipated hiring salary is commensurate with experience up to $75748.

This position is located in Richmond VA at our Westmoreland Street location.

This position may be eligible to telework 2 days a week after 6 months. The telework days are Mondays and Fridays and the in-office days are Tuesday-Thursday.

Minimum Qualifications

Considerable experience working in a time-sensitive work environment supporting public-facing online programs

Considerable experience providing business and functional support to online electronic commerce systems

Strong ability to develop a detailed understanding of online application systems

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Experience writing business requirements for online programs that support public users.
