The LVN is a professional care provider responsible for assessing planning implementing and supervising nursing services and care of patient within his/her assigned area and scope of practice.
Responsibilities
Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing interventions in relation to intended goal.
Incorporates principles of adult learning into formal and informal teaching activities.
Delegation and supervision.
Problem solving.
Performs physical intervention on the unit.
Deals with others in a constructive and positive manner.
Contributes to the overall development of the facility.
Maintains professional growth and development.
Supervises assigned staff.
Provides nursing assessment of newly admitted patient.
Monitors existing medical problems; identifies new medical problems
Develops and contributes to nursing action plan; incorporates medical care plan
Formulates a written patient care plan using available resources: patient family team members physicians
Communicates the patient care plan
Implements safe therapeutic care for patients
Evaluates and Reviews Patient Care
Managing Care Through Others
Interpersonal Relations/Communications
Department Facility Contributions
Maintains Professional Responsibility
Required Skills/Abilities
IV certification within six months after employment.
BCLS certification by American Red Cross.
Education & Experience
Graduated from an Accredited School of Nursing preferred.
Current L.V.N. licensure to practice in California.
Six months experience in Geriatric Nursing desirable.

Pay: $45.00 - $53.00 per hour
