The Opportunity:
As the Clinical Performance Lab Preceptor you will provide clinical skills guidance to prelicensure nursing students in the clinical performance laboratory. Under general direction you will collaborate with faculty to design and develop clinical skills labs; assess needs of each lab to ensure that proper equipment and resources are available for learning skills from entry level to complex advanced level. You will utilize your own knowledge and experience in the field of Nursing to ensure that clinical skills labs are designed to meet current industry standards and practices within the field. You will assist students to integrate nursing theory and problem solving when developing competence in nursing skills. The position will also maintain lab equipment inventory and learning resources used for skills practice and validation.
Additional Information:
This is a part time (50% FTE) 10-month (typical schedule follows the academic year August-May) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $2108.00 to $2833.00 (pro-rated at .50FTE) Range #47 Steps A-M Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. Step M is typically a longevity step.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree with major study in a basic applied scienceANDtwo years of full-time experience as a Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 2; OR equivalent education/experience.
Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in State of Washington or ability to obtain licensure by time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year acute care experience.
Experience teaching or precepting.
Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
