Niyam is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to support one of our federal clients. We offer competitive compensation and benefits. This role is ideal for an experienced developer with deep expertise in modern full-stack development and a passion for building scalable secure cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will be proficient across a range of technologies and tools including AWS services Java Python and JavaScript frameworks and DevOps practices. Prior experience supporting federal agencies or working in a FedRAMP-compliant environment is a plus. This position will be hybrid to the client site in College Park MD.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design develop and deploy of web-based applications using Java Python JavaScript and .
• Build modern responsive user interfaces with frameworks such as React and Angular.
  
• Develop and maintain backend APIs and microservices hosted in AWS using Lambda API Gateway and S3.
• Monitor application health and performance using AWS CloudWatch and other related tools .
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases in cloud environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK to automate environment setup and management.
• Support DevOps processes and pipelines using Jenkins GitLab CI and Azure DevOps.
• Ensure compliance with federal security and accessibility standards including FedRAMP and Section 508.
• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning code reviews and backlog grooming.
  

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• US Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust.
• Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field.
• 7 years of full-stack development experience using Java Python and JavaScript.
• Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React and/or Angular.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services: Lambda S3 API Gateway CloudWatch PostgreSQL.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code such as (Terraform CloudFormation or AWS CDK).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
• Familiarity with compliance standards like FedRAMP SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
• Prior experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
