Automotive Electronics Installation Technician
Location: Buster Miles Ford Heflin AL
About the Role
Buster Miles Ford is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Automotive Electronics Installation Technician to join our this role youll be working with a variety of vehicles including sedans SUVs and pickup trucks to install emergency equipment aftermarket electronics and 12-volt systems. Whether youre experienced with vehicle upfitting or looking to build on your technical training this is a great opportunity to work with a dealership that values quality precision and long-term growth.
Position Type & Pay
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Compensation: Starting at $18.00/hour (based on experience and skill level)
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8-hour daytime shifts No weekends
Key Responsibilities
Remove and reinstall vehicle interiors while maintaining OEM standards
Install 12V systems wiring and electrical components such as radios lights mounts and mobile computers
Read and apply basic wiring diagrams and installation guides
Drill crimp route and secure electrical connections as required by the project scope
Ensure quality and accuracy of each installation and verify project components
Coordinate with internal team to meet client specifications and timelines
Preferred Background
Experience in any of the following is a plus but not required:
Automotive wiring or electronics
Car audio or aftermarket installations
Emergency vehicle equipment installs
General automotive technician work
Qualifications
Hands-on experience with electrical systems or mechanical installation
Basic understanding of 12V automotive circuits
Drivers license required
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
