Job Description

We are looking for: Part Time starting as soon as possible.
Available Shift
Mondays 11am-4:30pm
Hourly pay rate $16
Essential Functions:
- At minimum complete designated assigned shift duties using the proper cleaning supplies provided and then initial daily checklist upon completion.
- Ensure a safe workout environment through active supervising and regular circulation of the fitness areas every 15 to 20 minutes.
- Continuously arrange equipment such as dumbbells weight plates bars and small accessories to ensure that all fitness areas are clean and a safe workout environment is provided.
- At minimum at least once during each shift check all the sanitizing wipe dispensers and replenish when necessary.
- Monitor and enforce fitness center rules and policies.
- Fold small fitness towels and replenish counter & all studios.
- Wear proper uniform attire such as a staff shift name tag appropriate workout pants shorts and shoes.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification highly encouraged.
- Knowledge of fitness equipment and basic fitness principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills coupled with strong communication skills having the ability to represent the Deerfield Park District in a professional manner.
Safety:
- The Fitness Floor Attendant is responsible for being aware of and contributing to the maintenance and implementation of all Deerfield Park District safety policies and procedures.
- Required to:
- Reports any work-related or patron injuries to supervisor promptly.
- Use good safety awareness and judgment.
- Follow policies.
- Report on potentially unsafe conditions.
- Follow manufacturer safety instructions when using equipment.
- Follow agency ergonomic policies and procedures.

Wage Range: $16- $19 an hour starting pay at the base of range.
