Admissions Counselor I

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is looking to recruit an Admissions Counselor I position for the Georgia State University Atlanta Campus. The Admissions Counselor I will be a part of our Welcome Center and assist with managing Tour Guides and the telecounseling program.
The typical weekday hours for this position are Mondays through-Fridays from 8:30am-5:15pm.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provide support to the Assistant Director of the Welcome Center to manage the tour guides and tele-counseling program. This includes the hiring training scheduling firing and evaluating of the student tour guides on an annual basis.
Maintain monitor track and enter all calling campaign information into a Customer Relationship Management system (for example Slate).
Create daily monthly and yearly data reports from Slate to evaluate the effectiveness of calling campaigns.
Create and manage new and ongoing calling campaigns for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Conduct daily on-campus information sessions for prospective students and families at the Welcome Center.
Meet with prospective students and guests after the daily campus tours to counsel applicants with regard to admissions requirements and procedures.
Assist with all incoming and outbound transfer-related communications with prospective transfer students including Admissions e-mail walk-ins as well as inbound and outbound phone calls.
Assist and participate in on and off-campus student recruitment events in Georgia. This will include but is not limited to all on-campus open houses information sessions college fairs and community college visits.
