Job Description
Sconza Candy Company located in Oakdale California is a hand crafted quality candy manufacturing company which has been in business since 1939. The company specializes in co-manufacturing and co-packaging of chocolate and sugar panned items.
JOB TITLE: Welder/Fabricator
JOB STATEMENT: The Fabricator is responsible to work from patterns and blueprints using a variety of tools and machines to fabricate or assemble components needed for the production floor.
Essential functions:
- Design Fabricate and Validate weldments
- Repair structural steel fabricate sanitary pipes & other components as needed
- Run Plumbing water and condensate pipes
- Study and interpret assembly instructions
- Fabricate and assemble equipment as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and sketches
- Assemble tools and materials
- Positions parts and subassemblies
- Interpret measurements
- Assemble and refurbish components
- Alter dimensions to fit specifications
- Complete preventive maintenance Work Orders
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform mechanical repairs as needed
- Ensure working environment is clean and safe
- Must be able to work any shift as needed
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Must be able to sanitary weld for food grade applications
- Mig and Tig (Sanitary Welding) is a requirement
- Clear communication written and verbal
- Effective troubleshooting skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years as a Fabricator
- Must have Mechanical aptitude and dexterity
- Certified 6G or 8G a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged standing
