JOB CONTEXT:
The Rehabilitation Technical Division includes 13 staff members (2 managers 8 specialists 1 PDO 1 project officer and 1 assistant) responsible for providing technical support and frameworks to HI programs worldwide leading research and innovation projects and representing HI externally. The rehabilitation mandate applies in both humanitarian and development contexts.

This position has been created as part of an internal reorganization of the Rehabilitation team.

YOUR MISSION:
This role does not include regular support to operations/programs and projects (except in emergencies or ad hoc requests for evaluation or quality control). Minimal field missions except for network activities requiring travel.

ACCESSIBILITY OF THE POSITION:



Requirements

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Occupational therapist orthotist/prosthetist or other qualified AT professional with a focus on mobility. Masters degree preferred;
  • Specialized and experienced rehabilitation professional in mobility-focused AT;
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in rehabilitation with clinical experience in both high-income and low-/middle-income countries (LMICs);
  • At least 3 years of relevant field experience in LMICs;
  • Experience in emergency and Nexus contexts knowledge of international standards and current networks;
  • Demonstrated experience or interest in using new technologies in professional practice including user-centered FabLab/HumanLab dynamics.
