Job Description
Campos Fabrication is continuing to grow and we are looking for a Shop Engineer to join our team in Amherst NH. The Shop Engineer is an entry-level engineering material management and project support role. They are responsible for working with the Shop Foreman and the Quality Engineer to develop vendor quotes receive material verify material specifications and grades and review client pipe specifications as well as assist with basic engineering activities required to execute projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Handle parts and materials
- Maintain shop inventory system
- Request and verify vendor quotes
- Receive materials and complete Material Receiving Reports (MRRs)
- Verify materials against client specifications project requirements and maintain records of Material Test Reports (MTRs)
- Be open and able to travel to project sites to assist in material verification
- Prepare purchase orders to successful vendors
- Review project records; recommend actions to avoid project delays
- Ensure material compliance with appropriate government regulations safety rules and company and client standards
- Become an asset for knowledge regarding pipe fittings equipment and material specifications.
- Be willing to travel locally.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other Technical discipline
- 1-3 year experience in the oil and gas industry welding warehouse construction or other relevant fields.
- Prior forklift operation experience preferred.
- Valid drivers license required.

- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources including internal resources and clients.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and pallet jack.
PAY: $75K-$85K

CONTACTS
This position requires regular contact with employees on the fabrication floor with procurement department employees and vendor and shipper employees.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

- Incumbents will constantly utilize written and verbal communication skills including active listening and speaking and reach and grasp objects.
- Incumbents will regularly experience periods of prolonged sitting standing walking traveling/driving a vehicle and lifting objects up to 25 lbs.
- Incumbents will occasionally lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate office equipment such as computers telephones fax machines and copiers. This position would also require the ability to operate fabrication equipment including the revolver pipe-cutting table plasma table. Onsite training will be provided for both.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
