Description

Major Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time Talent Acquistion Specialist. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will identify recruit and screen potential employees for specific positions for the organization as well as assist the Human Resources department.

  • Consults with Human Resources department to understand the requirements duties and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
  • Collects and analyzes data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries candidate availability and demand for candidates in particular fields.
  • Consults data and records to identify and select potential candidates for vacant positions.
  • Screens candidates selects qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase and then connects viable candidates with clients or hiring managers.
  • Verify candidates experience and backgrounds.
  • Counsels candidates on the interview process and when selected for roles.
  • Follows up with hiring managers after the interview process.
  • Answers and directs departmental phone calls and organizes appointments.
  • Create engaging content and copy across social media channels
  • Assist with new hire orientation including preparation and presenting of materials.
  • Performs other Human Resources related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • Bilingual (fluent in English & Spanish)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word Excel Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in a similar function
  • Strong organizational analytical and customer service skills
  • Must be self-motivated capable of prioritizing and managing several tasks simultaneously

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Three years of prior experience in a similar function
