Job Summary
The Housekeeping Associate (T2) reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor. As the Housekeeping Associate T2 this position will assist with the cleanliness of all areas in The Jones Center handling cleaning supplies operating equipment and creating a safe environment for patrons and staff. The work may require flexible working hours including evening and weekend responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise assigned team members including training new and current staff.
- Responsible for daily inspection of work areas and assisting with cleaning areas as needed to ensure completion of the shift duties.
- Understanding Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and emergency procedures.
- Follow the recommended safety measures while handling supplies operating cleaning equipment and lifting furniture and equipment.
- Manage supplies and ensure team members have the equipment necessary to complete job assignments.
- Using vacuuming equipment and a floor machine vacuum and clean carpet/floors and perform further treatment such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed.
- Delegate all hippo (maintenance software for work order requests) assignments and details.
- Conduct efficient set-up and take-down of furniture and equipment as scheduled by program providers and/or staff.
- Keep equipment and storage areas in order and secure.
- Report issues and training needs to facility supervisors.
- Uphold the policies and procedures of the Center.
- Will be lifting and moving chairs repeatedly during the shift.

Education Training and Experience
- High School or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of facility maintenance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain stationary occasionally standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
