Job Description
Job Summary
Drexel University Facilities Management Department is seeking a qualified candidate to be responsible for Painter / Multi-skilled position.
The schedule for this position is 1st shift - Wednesday - Sunday 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Essential Functions
- Support campus events with set-ups which include the installation of banners signs risers etc;
- Respond to service calls for general building maintenance items campus-wide which will include work in classrooms restrooms and occasionally residence halls athletic facilities and outdoor work. Calls will include repair requests for doors windows roofs electrical plumbing furnishings locks safety protection and other items as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years relevant experience including:
- Taping patching spackle spray and working from a ladder or scaffolding.
- Mixing paint priming walls roll brush and cut in.
- Candidate must possess a valid drivers license.
Preferred Qualifications
- The candidate must have multi skill trade experience preferably carpenter electrician and or plumber to support work issued through work order system focusing on restroom maintenance and renovations and occasionally to support outstanding/critical campus wide work orders.
- The job requires an employee who can perform with minimum supervision and take the initiative to complete the assignment.

- Typically standing walking
- Typically bending crouching stooping
- Lifting demands > 50lbs
Location
- Center City Philadelphia PA
Additional Information
This position is classified as non-exempt union position. Compensation for this position is $32.79/hr.
