As an Amazon Senior Business Intelligence Engineer you will be working in one of the worlds largest and most complex data warehouse environments. Youll employ data analysis to ensure your partners and leaders have the most up to date reliable information working collaboratively to make the best possible roadmap decisions. Youll make a huge impact not just on the bottom line performance of the network but on the overall customer experience making history whilst having fun along the way! You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions. We are looking for innovators to be a sophisticated user of data querying tools and an expert at synthesizing and communicating insights and recommendations to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication.
Above all you should be passionate about bringing large datasets together to answer business questions and drive change. Being curious detail oriented and comfortable finding information and performing tasks that havent been done before will be the norm.
Key job responsibilities
1. Build and maintain Business Reporting and KPI dashboards.
2. Work/advice Tech and Partner teams for Data Retrofits activities
3. Maintain and update data models for data exports
4. Build Product adoption and usage KPIs (require integration with X datasets)
5. Build data pipelines
6. Maintain ETL and streaming jobs
- 5 years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift Oracle NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau Quicksight or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2 DynamoDB S3 and Redshift
- Experience in data mining ETL etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
