Position Description:
Role Overview
GKE-focused Infrastructure Engineer to manage maintain and scale production Kubernetes clusters in Google Cloud (GKE). This role is entirely centered on GKE infrastructure networking security and performance
Key Responsibilities
Operate and scale GKE clusters (multi-region multi-tenant setup)
Implement autoscaling pod networking node pool management
Handle backup and recovery strategies for GKE workloads
Ensure high availability and zero-downtime deployments
Manage VPC configuration firewall rules and service mesh (if any)
Troubleshoot container runtime persistent storage and ingress issues
Work closely with SRE/Platform teams to implement observability and compliance standards
Document operational procedures and cluster standards
Required Skills & Experience
4 years of experience in container orchestration/infrastructure
2 years hands-on with GKE in production
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals pod lifecycle volumes taints/tolerations
Familiar with GCP networking (VPC subnets load balancing PSC etc.)
Comfortable managing GKE across multiple environments (Dev QA Prod)
Preferred
GCP Kubernetes Engine Specialist certification /Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Familiarity with Anthos Istio or service mesh concepts
