• HS/GED with professional license/certification registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist

Job Responsibilities:

• Cleans sterilizes and prepares equipment for all procedures in accordance with safety standards.
• Provides constant monitoring for patients during procedures and reports any changes in status.
• Assists physicians with a variety of cardiovascular testing such as peripheral vascular ultrasounds stress tests and EKGs.
• Operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to obtain specialized imaging during procedures. Analyzes results and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
• Prepares for procedures by reviewing medical histories draping sites positioning patients and administering contrast media.
• Educates patient regarding procedures equipment and exam to ensure patients understanding and cooperation.
• Performs other duties as needed.

This position produces Cath Lab images for medical interpretation but will not supervise other Cath Lab technologists.
