Commercial Loan Closing Supervisor

Wearecurrently looking for a Commercial Real Estate Loan Closing Supervisorto join our CRE/Construction Lendingteam.
Job Summary
The role is accountable for the oversight of the fulfillment function within the commercial real estate portfolio and in leading its staff. The role is responsible for managing the processes workflow and tactical day-to-day operations to effectively process close and board commercial real estate loans that the bank offers. Additionally the role will be responsible for closing various commercial real estate loans on a consistent basis.
What you can expect to work on
  • Management
    • Oversee day-to-day functions of commercial loan closing function.
    • Responsible for the managing staff performance goals and development.
    • Responsible for closing processes procedures and documentation.
    • Responsible for working with management to update FIDICIA narratives for controls and work with internal audit to ensure processes and procedures remain effective.
    • Manage new loan pipeline closer assignments and coordinates with lending underwriting and closing staff to ensure timely closings.
    • Acts as a liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders
    • Leads or participates in projects to improve loan closing efficiency
  • Loan Closing
    • Collecting and reviewing necessary borrowers title and other closing docs.
    • Creating and reviewing loan documents as needed.
    • Coordinating with title attorneys and borrowers to ensure a smooth closing process.
    • Fund and board loans using the Banks core system.
  • QA
    • Assists QA with reviewing loan documentation prior to execution.
      • Includes cross-referencing to loan approvals loan policy etc.
    • Conducts regular reviews of processes to ensure consistent applications with respect to set procedures.
    • Works with QA to ensure training is appropriate to QA standards and errors are addressed.

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.
Education/Experience:
  • Associates degree required; Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in commercial loan closing processing and funding relevant title and/or legal experience is preferred
  • Management experience preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
  • Excellent understanding of commercial real estate loans with an emphasis construction and the necessary requirements to close.
    • Understanding title work surveys loan documentation etc.
    • Understanding regulatory and policy requirements as at pertains to loan closings
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills. This includes the ability to inspire others provide clear direction and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of bank systems technology and processes.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to effectively interact with individuals in all areas of the bank.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills must be detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Can easily adapt and/or align with the evolving landscape and business changes.
  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous learning and positive professional development to others.
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive within their work.
Work Environment
This position is based out of our headquarters office with flexibility to work one or two days per week from home. Work-from-home days may be adjusted based on business needs and conditions.
