As the Housekeeping Supervisor at Hilton Garden Inn you lead train and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure every guest room and public area meets Hiltons high standards of cleanliness and quality. You will oversee daily operations assign rooms for cleaning conduct inspections maintain inventories and coordinate with other hotel departments. This is a hands-on role that requires both leadership and the ability to step in and perform housekeeping tasks when needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead train and supervise Room Attendants and Housepersons on assigned floors or designated areas
- Assign rooms for cleaning and inspect 25 to 90 rooms per day to verify cleanliness setup and condition
- Assess room inventory and report discrepancies in room status
- Monitor and maintain stock rooms carts and designated inventories
- Conduct regular supply and linen inventory counts and communicate ordering needs
- Communicate and coordinate with Engineering/Property Operations for timely maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public areas
- Perform Room Attendant or Houseperson duties as needed including cleaning guest rooms
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services
- Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards safety protocols and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of inspections supply usage and room readiness
- Operate housekeeping management systems and basic computer programs for reporting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior hotel housekeeping experience required with supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to inspect 25 to 90 rooms per day and clean rooms when necessary
- Physically able to lift push and pull up to 50 pounds and move or operate large items such as housekeeping carts furniture large linen bags vacuums and boxes of inventory
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
- Comfortable using computers and housekeeping management software
- Availability to work weekends holidays and a flexible schedule as needed
