Nido Living are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Origination Analyst to join our team. As an Origination Analyst youll play a key role in driving our growth through targeted real estate acquisitions primarily within the student housing sector across Italy. Working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams youll be responsible for deal origination support financial modelling transaction coordination and market analysis. Your insights and diligence will directly influence strategic decisions and future investments across the country.
This role requires strong analytical skills proficiency in Excel cashflow modelling and 2-3 years of experience in the real estate industry. The successful candidate should have excellent English skills in addition to fluency in Italian. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with the central investment and development team based in Madrid.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
- Deal Sourcing and Underwriting: Assist the Country Manager in identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities in the student housing market. Conduct thorough market research feasibility studies and financial analyses to support investment decisions.
- Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain detailed Excel cashflow models to assess the financial viability of potential investments. Perform sensitivity analyses scenario planning and risk assessments to inform investment strategies.
- Transaction Execution: Support the execution of investment transactions including due diligence preparation of investment memoranda and coordination with legal financial and operational teams. Ensure all transactions comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Market Analysis: Monitor and analyse market trends demographic data and competitive landscape in the student housing sector. Provide insights and recommendations to the Country Manager and central investment team to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the central investment and development team in Madrid to ensure alignment on investment strategies and objectives. Prepare and present reports financial models and investment proposals to senior management.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including real estate brokers developers investors and local authorities. Represent the company in meetings negotiations and industry events.
RequirementsEducation: Masters degree in Real Estate Finance Business or a related field is preferred. Bachelors degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in real estate investment financial analysis or a related field with a focus on student housing or similar asset classes.
