Summary:
The Logistics Specialist supports logistics analysis and operations activities to improve efficiency reduce costs and enhance service levels on a global scale. The role involves collecting and interpreting logistics data evaluating transportation and distribution strategies identifying process improvements monitoring logistics provider compliance and supporting decision-making through detailed reports and performance metrics.
Primary Responsibilities:
Gather data from sites to support RFQs analysis and other projects
Prepare slides for monthly reports
Collaborate with sites to advance freight initiatives
Track market changes and risks (i.e. weather geo-political labor capacity) and estimate potential impact to sites
Participate in negotiations with transportation providers
Develop and implement SOPs
Assist sites with logistics related questions and requests
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations trade policies and company standards
Stay current with industry trends by attending seminars or obtaining certifications
Engage with other departments to streamline logistics workflows and implement best practices
Qualifications:
Excellent analytical negotiation and communication skills
Familiarity with all modes of transportation
Proficient in Microsoft Word PowerPoint Excel
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Well organized detail oriented
Experience with logistics software i.e. Tableau Llamasoft Mojro Maxload Pro
Fluency in speaking reading and writing Spanish Portuguese or Spanish is a plus
Education: Possess a minimum 2-year college degree in Logistics Supply Chain Business or related field
Experience: 3-5 years of industry experience
