Job Summary

Mindak is looking for a detail-driven experienced Lead Carpenter to execute the punch list tasks during the final phase of our construction projects. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring that all final carpentry and punch-out work meets project specifications and is ready for customer turnover.

As a Lead Carpenter (Punch-Out Services) youll use your framing and finishing skills to help close out projects with precision and care. While this role does not formally supervise you may lead a small crew (13 carpenters) to ensure timelines are met with high standards. A company truck tools and equipment are provided to support your success.

Major Expectations & Accountabilities

  • Execute punch-out carpentry tasks with expert-level precision and efficiency.
  • Interpret construction blueprints and specs to align final work with project intent.
  • Coordinate closely with Foremen and Superintendents to deliver close-out scopes.
  • Maintain clean safe and organized workspaces in compliance with safety standards.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Lead by example in a team environment occasionally directing a small crew.
  • Report safety concerns and equipment issues promptly.
  • Ensure readiness of projects for customer handoff.

  • A safety-first mindset understanding the importance of regulatory and jobsite safety.
  • Collaborative spirit thriving in team environments while also working independently.
  • A deep attention to detail especially in the final stages of carpentry execution.
  • Strong communication skills with professionalism in client and team interactions.
  • Capability to read interpret and execute from technical drawings and punch lists.
  • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfort with construction technology including Procore and BlueBeam (preferred).

At a Minimum You need

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 5 years of wood framing carpentry experience
  • 3 years of punch-out or final phase construction work.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and using construction tools and equipment.
  • Valid U.S. drivers license.

Qualifications That Can Set You Apart

  • 10 years of wood framing carpentry experience.
  • Experience using Procore or BlueBeam digital construction platforms.
  • Bilingual skills especially in Spanish are a plus.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and local construction safety protocols.
  • History of leading small teams or mentoring junior carpenters.
  • Strong customer service background particularly in client-facing roles.
  • Prior experience with close-out documentation or punch list management.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic jobsite environment.

Working Environment / Physical Activities

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
  • Work involves standing bending climbing and reaching throughout the day.
  • Must safely operate tools lifts and work at heights.
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors sometimes in dusty or noisy environments.
